RÉMI BOLDUC - Tribute to George Shearing

Whether performing in New York, Paris, Tokyo, or at home in Montreal, saxophonist Rémi Bolduc is renowned for his magnetic stage presence, breathtaking precision, and refreshing original compositions. Bolduc has just released his ninth recording, “Swingin’ with Oscar", a celebration of the music of the great Canadian jazz musician Oscar Peterson, which Le Devoir calls “dazzling” and “pure delight.” Bolduc creates a new tribute concert for the Festival, with the world premiere of Lullaby of Birdland – Tribute to George Shearing. For this homage to the legendary jazz pianist and bandleader on Saturday, June 3 at 7:30 pm at Salle Bourgie, Bolduc is joined by his brilliant musical partners: Pat Labarbera on tenor saxophone, pianist François Bourassa, André White on drums, and bass player Neil Swainson who played in Shearing’s band.

Date and Time: Saturday, June 3rd at 7:30 p.m.
