ROBI BOTOS

First class jazz event with Canadian-Hungarian pianist Robi Botos, Keyboard Artist of the Year (National Jazz Award, 2007) and Juno prize Award in 2016 for his album Movin’ Forward, Robi Botos is quite exceptional in the jazz world, with compositions inspired by funk and swing rhythms, and by music inherited by his gypsy ancestors. The virtuoso pianist, who had Oscar Peterson as mentor, will perform for the first time at the MCMF, with bassist Mike Downes and drummer Larnell Lewis.
