BEETHOVEN LISZT III - Carlos Avila

BEETHOVEN NINE SYMPHONIES TRANSCRIBED BY FRANZ LISZT FOR SOLO PIANO

Carlos Avila is one of the most in-demand pianists on the classical music scene. A Julliard alumnus, his concerts have taken him across North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

Avila has been a guest at festivals of high renown around the world where he had the chance to work and study with an impressive list of pianists as well as members of some of the world’s most renowned string quartets.

The pianist is also an avid collaborator and has given recitals across the United States and Asia with the acclaimed violinist Jay Oh, as well as going on an American tour with award winning baritone Leon Williams.

These past seasons, he performed in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s All-Access Chamber series and the New York Philharmonic’s Leonard Bernstein salon series as well as being recently showcased on New York’s WQXR as one of the winners of Juilliard’s prestigious Gina Bachauer Piano Competition.
