Cameron Crozman is being hailed as one of Canada’s leading young cellists. An avid chamber musician, Cameron has been invited to perform with world leading artists and ensemble such as James Ehnes, André Laplante, Huw Watkins, Martin Beaver, Gérard Caussé, James Campbell, and members of the Ébène, New Zealand, and Penderecki String Quartets. Crozman has been selected and invited in prestigious competitions and academies and was 2nd prize laureate of both the OSM Standard Life and the Eckhardt-Gramatté. The cellist has received a master’s level degree in cello with highest honours from the Conservatoire de Paris and is currently exploring the cello canon on the 1769 Joannes Guillami cello, on loan from the Canada Council for the Arts Instrument Bank.
Byungchan Lee was named one of CBC Music’s “30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30” in 2017. Prizewinner of the Yankelevitch International Violin Competition, he appeared as soloist with the McGill and Vancouver Symphony Orchestras. He performed alongside Stevie Wonder in Montréal, and at the closing ceremony of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Lee received his master’s degree from Juilliard where he served as co-concertmaster of the orchestra, and was awarded a Benzaquen Career Advancement Grant upon graduation. He is also a recipient of the Sylva Gelber Music Foundation Award. He plays on an 1869 J.B. Vuillaume violin and Vuillaume model bow on loan from the Canada Council for the Arts Musical Instrument Bank.
