Bravo Banff

 BISQC Quartet Competition Winners!

On Thursday, June 18th we say, “Bravo Banff” and celebrate Canada’s world-renowned Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and their remarkable contribution to the art of chamber music.  Featured are the Rolston String Quartet, 2016 First Prize winner of the Banff International String Quartet Competition and the Ulysses Quartet, newly appointed Quartet-in Residence at the Juilliard School.  This concert of mixed repertoire will also present Festival Founder and Artistic Director, Denis Brott, joining the Ulysses Quartet in a performance of a newly discovered transcription of Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” Sonata scored for string quintet.  An amazing discovery!  Also, on the program is the beloved Mendelssohn Octet featuring two international string quartet competition winners, the Ulysses and the Rolston (Canada) string quartets. A truly world-class happening!
