Currently on an 11-city European tour, the Quartet has just been named a winner of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Development Grant
, a singular honour in the classical music world and valued at $25,000 USD. Graduates of the Curtis Institute of Music, the Dover Quartet are former top prize winners of the Fischoff, Wigmore Hall and Banff International String Quartet Competitions.
To delve more deeply into the mind and passion of Beethoven, the festival has partnered with McGill PRIZMA School of Continuing Studies
for a unique 6-concert lecture series to precede the Festival. Gain insight into the man, his work and his time. Hear his music with a greater understanding of its expressive meaning and context.
