The Montreal Chamber Music Festival is transitioning from live concerts to digital content for this season!
Our passion for music and culture is coming to you in the comfort of your home until we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our in-person concerts, hopefully in the near future. This initiative is part of a larger effort to establish greater online presence and better engage and interact with you. We are inviting you, our cherished audience, to accompany the Festival on this transformation to a digital profile.
Starting in September, the Montreal Chamber Music Festival will be presenting a 10-part weekly series of videos entitled A Day in the Life. These videos will chronicle the lives of 10 brilliant young Canadians as they find innovative ways to adapt to current measures. Each performs on a great instrument by makers such as Stradivarius, Montagnana, Vuillaume and others, all graciously on loan from the Musical Instrument Bank of the Canada Council.
These incredible artists will be sharing what a typical day looks like in their shoes. Their vignettes of an artist’s life bring the magic of music together with the power of digital media to connect you with each performer in a way that we have never been able to offer before.
You will soon be hearing from us about exact dates for the release of A day in the life. You will then be able to tune into our website festivalmontreal.org, Facebook page, Instagram, or YouTube channel to experience this unique offering. Stay safe, stay healthy and celebrate with us as the Montreal Chamber Music Festival engages you on digital platforms while we plan a return to the concert stage in May 2021 to honor our 25th anniversary, a year later than planned!
With kindness and care,
Denis Brott, C.M.
