The Montreal Chamber Music Festival and its artistic director Denis Brott are proud to announce that as part of the project Agir pour l'animation du centre-ville par les festivals et événements 2021, the City of Montreal has awarded us a grant to create an original project entitled Les Jeunes Virtuoses de Montréal.
This ensemble, conducted by Denis Brott and composed of 15 up-and-coming musicians who have recently graduated from Montreal schools and universities, will have the mission of bringing life to the downtown area and the surrounding boroughs. In addition, the deployment of this project will make it possible to offer jobs to young artists who have been seriously affected by the forced closure of their activities over the past year.
This project will be carried out in partnership with BMO Bank of Montreal, the CHUM, COGECO, various seniors' residences and others.
With the declared aim of democratizing chamber music and making it accessible to as many people as possible, the concerts will be offered free of charge to the public, who will be invited for the occasion to reconnect with the magical language and emotions of music.
The string ensemble Les Jeunes Virtuoses de Montréal will perform from September 13 to October 30. More than 25 concerts will be held in various locations to showcase the talent and passion of these young musicians. All to the delight of all Montrealers.
