The Montreal Chamber Music Festival's Young Virtuosi of Montreal are forced to cancel the last 3 concerts of their amazing downtown tour, due to a case of COVID-19 within the group

Montreal, October 21, 2021 – It is with great regret that the Montreal Chamber Music
Festival is forced to cancel the last 3 concerts of the Montreal Young Virtuosi project, which
has performed 22 of the 25 concerts scheduled for their tour of downtown Montreal’s
major public squares since September 23, with great success.

“We are proud of these last 5 weeks, and this tour, which is ending prematurely due to
the outbreak of a case of COVID-19, will have been a memorable experience for these
brilliant young musicians as well as for the whole of Montreal,” said today Artistic Director
Denis Brott C.M., who specified that this unprecedented initiative will remain engraved in
everyone’s memories for a long time.

In full respect of public health regulations, the concerts scheduled for Thursday, October 21,

in the north hall of Place Ville-Marie, at 12:00 p.m. and at the Cathedral Marie-Reine-du-
Monde, at 7:00 p.m., as well as at Christ Church Anglican Cathedral, this Saturday, October

23, at 5:00 p.m., are therefore cancelled. This tour was made possible thanks to the financial
support of the City of Montreal and the Borough of Ville-Marie, strong partners of the
Montreal Chamber Music Festival.
